A Journey of Enlightenment

Plan B

Railings IISo this morning I was up bright and early once again. This time it was for an outing to Tynemouth and another chance to get some early sunrise photos. After last weekend I was really optimistic that I would get some great photos, however the weather and the cloud cover soon put a stop to that.

I don’t know if it’s my inexperience or not but the quality of light was not as good as last week. What do I mean? I don’t really know. All I know is that all my photos came out flat, no contrast at all and because of the cloud cover it was hard to get any colour into the sky.

Rather than being downbeat I turned my attention to what was lying around and in the end I got what I feel are some great images. Not as many as last week but still enough to be happy with.

One of the images of Tynemouth Pier I’ve posted already today and the rest I’ve loaded to my flickr stream. One of them is the image below.

To be honest I can’t remember or don’t know why I decided to take this shot, but I love the way each bird is looking in different directions […could be an indie rock band…]. All I do know is that I was trying to make up for a disappointing start to the morning.

In the end though, I’m still quite pleased with what I ended up with. It does pay to look around and just shoot, shoot everything and anything. You never know what you’ll end up with.
